Niranjan Nadkarni
Chief Executive Officer, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Mr. Niranjan Nadkarni was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. He is responsible for the strategic and corporate growth of the markets under his purview. In his current role, his key focus is to augment synergies within the sub-region by leveraging personnel and business competencies available to strengthen service and market portfolio of each sub-region.
With over two decades of experience, Niranjan started his career with SKF Bearings India Pvt. Ltd. In 1995, he made an unconventional move to join a five-member team at TÜV SÜD. He then qualified to become a Lead Auditor for management system certification ISO 9001, QS 9000, VDA 6.1 and TS 16949. During this tenure, he performed audits and training in many markets across the globe such as USA, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, ASEAN and South Asia.
In 1998, he was appointed the head of South India region for TÜV SÜD South Asia. After managing this portfolio for over eight years, Niranjan was appointed as Vice President- Product Services, with the thrust to set up the Product Services portfolio in South Asia. He was instrumental in establishing a network of state-of-the-art laboratories for food, textiles and leather along with planning and implementation of market expansion strategy.
In 2009, he was appointed CEO of TÜV SÜD South Asia where he was responsible for the firm’s growth across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Under his leadership, TÜV SÜD South Asia witnessed exponential growth in new business areas, expanded its product offerings and double digit financial growth.
Brought up in Mumbai, Niranjan is a Mechanical Engineer and has Masters’ degree in Management from Pune University in India. He is an avid reader and enjoys travelling and cross-country trekking.
Klaus Langner
Chief Financial Officer, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Mr. Klaus Langner was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for financial and risk management, corporate development, strategic planning, performance management and corporate governance in this vast and diverse market. Prior to this appointment, Klaus was the CFO for the ASEAN region at TÜV SÜD.
Before joining TÜV SÜD, Klaus was a Partner & Managing Director at a leading strategy consulting firm, The Boston Consulting Group, and brings 16 years of experience in consulting top management on corporate and business unit strategy. He also served as a consultant for the United Nations World Food Program in East Timor and is a passionate advocate for non-profit causes related to improving children welfare, education, disaster and humanitarian relief.
After living in Germany and the United States, Klaus has been based in Singapore since 2001 and worked throughout Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Bratin Roy
Head of Industry Service, TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa
Bratin Roy is responsible for TÜV SÜD’s Industry Services businesses and operations in the South Asia region including India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and ASEAN region including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. As a head of Industry service, he is leading 4 multidisciplinary business units i.e Power & Systems; Chemical, oil and gas; Steam & Pressure; and Environment services to achieve the strategic objective and targets of the region. In addition, He is also responsible for operation of two global competency center of TÜV SÜD group focusing on conventional power plant consultancy and supply chain service.
Mr. Roy is working with TUV SUD since last twelve years. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Roy was working with leading energy and environment consulting firms in India focusing on energy, environment, corporate sustainability, power and utility strategy management as business and operation lead. He also worked as a consultant for the various multilateral funded projects under Work bank, Asian Development Bank, KFW, United Nations.
Mr. Roy holds a Bachelor degree & Master diploma in Chemical and Safety Engineering respectively. In addition, he also holds a MBA in Public System Management
