At MIPIM, the leading international real-estate trade show held in Cannes, TÜV SÜD will present its solutions for maximising added value in the property sector. The experts from the company’s Real Estate & Infrastructure Division can cover all technical, financial and organisational planning, consulting and management tasks throughout a property’s lifespan. TÜV SÜD’s presence at MIPIM will focus on services for sustainability and energy efficiency, digital solutions and transaction services for the real-estate industry. TÜV SÜD will share Stand R7.G16 with the City of Munich.
As digitalisation advances, processes in the property industry are likewise undergoing change, from planning and construction to building operation. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an integrated model-based method applied to the creation and management of information in construction projects. The BIM method offers the critical advantages of more efficient planning, more predictability and transparency around costs and scheduling, and enhanced risk management throughout the entire project. TÜV SÜD’s interdisciplinary expert teams provide a combination of comprehensive BIM knowledge with experience gathered in numerous international benchmark projects. BIM also delivers advantages for building operation. Meticulous documentation and demand-oriented utilisation are the cornerstones of efficient facility management and smooth operating processes.
Protecting investments with transaction services and sustainability certification
The potential risks involved in property transactions have further increased for all market stakeholders in recent years. TÜV SÜD’s transaction services, ranging from ‘classic’ due diligence to property valuations and sustainability certification, can reduce transaction risks and protect investments over the long term. In property purchases, independent assessments in compliance with international standards such as RICS Red Book provide a robust and reliable basis for decision-making.
Sustainability certification is gaining in importance as a constituent of valuation processes. The most sought-after certificates are those in compliance with international standards, which allow properties to be compared. With over 556,000 certificates awarded throughout 78 countries, BREEAM is the leading sustainability standard in Europe and throughout the world. After acquiring the German Private Institute for Sustainable Real Estate (Deutsches Privates Institut für Nachhaltige Immobilienwirtschaft, DIFNI) in the autumn of 2016, TÜV SÜD is now the exclusive licensing partner for BREEAM certification in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Licensed activities comprise issue of certificates and training of auditors in the BREEAM standard. TÜV SÜD also provides sustainability consulting and auditing services in line with DGNB, LEED, HCH and BNB.
TÜV SÜD further expands its sustainability services with AdvISE
